The new visitor gate license reader is designed to help eliminate human error.
The new reader compares the information to a past data base and will open automatically after so many uses.
No gate keeper needed.
The new updated arms are designed to release if hit by a vehicle like some car mirrors which move and will snap, back in place.
Also, the new arms will open more quickly.
The current metal gate barrier will remain.
Again, Mother Nature and power outages still can create problems.
Below is from the Envera website, if you’d like to check it out go to:
Automatically verify each guest with Automatic Driver’s License Recognition. This system is equipped with an easy-to-use, ATM-style card slot. When guests insert their driver’s license, the name is cross-referenced with the MyEnvera database to determine if the guest is authorized. If the guest is a permitted visitor and has been manually verified once before, the gates will automatically open.
When a guest is not registered and automatically authorized with the License Plate Recognition or Driver’s License Recognition, our licensed, virtual security guards will greet the guest and contact the resident he or she is going to visit. The Virtual Guard will contact that resident to confirm that the guest is allowed in and then grant or deny access as necessary.
